You know, I am not entirely certain how I got directed at looking at how to make soap...it's just one of those "wonder how this is done" sort of things for me....I gotta tell ya though, it looks like a darned lot of work! I don't know that I'll ever give it a go, considering there are artists out there like you who do such a good job of it already...but if I do, or if I'm just more curious about the steps, I will most definitely let you know! By the way, I checked out CraftCult, your photo there is just great, I think it's a WONDERFUL way to showcase how pretty your soaps are!
Michelle...Just wanted to check in and tell you that, over the past few days I've been really reading up on making soaps and various soap blogs...I so have got to say, as much as I appreciated your artistry in the soaps you create before I started reading those things, I am absolutely AMAZED at it now! You are one very talented lady! And, thanks for the info about CraftCult...I'm checking it out now!
Aww...look at you reading my blog Michelle! That whole "real world" job thing really does just sap it right out of me...I am trying to figure out the whole balance thing...but it does feel REALLY great (I mean really, really great), when I get glimpses of that creative feeling again. I just need to do much more to foster it I think.
I hit my second "real" sale, the first being a PIF, I don't really count it...it is very, very slow, although I notice that the looks are increasing. Hopefully, it will pick up for all of us, but who knows? How's things in your neck of the woods? (BTW, I got a couple of comments on my blog about how gorgeous your soaps are...I have to agree with them!)
Hey Michelle....I just thought of something...for those of us who are not lucky enough to be able to visit a craft show where you have your soaps, have you considered selling "trial size" lots? I know it would be more work to make smaller versions, but it would be a great way to let people sample scents, try out the soap, etc., etc. Just an idea, might be something to consider!
Michelle....a little while ago I received the "One Lovely Blog" award from both InspirationsByStella AND TLC Inspirations, and I so appreciate their kindness! My instructions are to pass it on to 15 other bloggers...here it is, just for you!
You can see the information about it in my most current blog!
Michelle....YOU must have been the treasury I was told I was spotted in! How very sweet of you...I somehow completely missed that entire post....(just remember, recent birthday, mind going faster). Thank you, thank you, thank you!
