Still here!

Hello to everyone! We're still here, and have sold some items from our shop on etsy. Don't know if it was possibly from this site or a buyer just looking around...maybe from the promotions forum. Anyway, we were happy and grateful about it! We have a lot of items not listed, so if any of you think of something you would like and don't see it in our shop, please convo us. We take lots of custom orders that do not go through etsy. Kellie, my daughter, is in the San Isabel Mountains this weekend e… Continue

Pinewood Derby Finals

The Scout Show is this Saturday, April 18, 2009, at The Phil Long Expo Center here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Joshua's car has made it to the Pinewood Derby District Finals. WOO HOO!!! The Scout Show is an all day event. This is a great time to mix and mingle with other packs, to learn about Scouting and in general to have a good time! One of the sponsors asked us for a business card from our shop (quitenice.etsy.com) to be published in the program. Since this will be our first time to this… Continue

We're back!

Hi to everyone. It's certainly been awhile since we've posted anything. Condensed update of what's been happening in our lives! My son visited in August from Texas. Had a wonderful (but too short) visit. School started, attended a family funeral in Missouri in November, Christmas came and went. Seems like we are always doing something. Joshua is taking guitar lessons and loves it! Kellie, Joshua and I are still extremely active in Scouts. Blue and Gold Celebration was fabulous! We hired a profes… Continue

It's a beautiful day!

I cannot believe that we have not been able to write here for a whole month! Busy, busy, busy! Joshua was away for a week camping, fishing and boating in Glendo, WY. I am so glad to have him home. I don't think I could physically eat any more Whoppers. He went with some of our family so I knew he was safe and having fun! Sandy has been "working" hard on wash cloths, dish cloths and some promo packs for upcoming festivals! Have a great day everyone!

Joshua has joined

the Cub Scouts. He is so excited, some of his classmates are in his pack. We went on a hike in Red Rock Canyon this Saturday. It is so pretty there. It was snowing but not too cold. We hiked for a couple of hours. Joshua and his friends pretty much ran the whole way, with the expection of the rock climbing part. The rocks were very wet and slippery but we made it. It was very fun and Joshua and his partner won the "Leave No Trace" scavenger hunt. Yeah! Good job guys!!

Please have a loo

Well we made it...

not only did Joshua's friend get sick, Joshua has had the flu all week. He had a fever all day Monday and Tuesday, he went to the doctor said get some tests done, he has a virus. Well around 2 p.m. his fever went to 103.1 and went back and forth from that to 104.1. Poor little guy had to have four lukewarm baths to try to get the fever down. We couldn't give him anymore medicine, not enough time had passed. Well at 4:45 p.m. after all this he wasn't getting any better, his fever jumped to 104

Hello all!

Well, we survived the weekend! That's the good thing. The not so good thing is Joshua's friend had a fever that would go down for a LITTLE bit then go back up. He went home on Saturday night. I talked to his mother yesterday and she had taken him to the ER. He has an upper respiratory infection and the flu. He has been vomiting all day. Tonight Joshua is coughing and running a low fever. He is fine now and sitting with Grandma (or I wouldn't be writing this). So we are going to go to bed so J

Good morning all-

Hope everyone is having a great day! Joshua has a friend over to spend the weekend with him, tons of fun! So I don't think Joshua is going to do any crafting. Just a whole lot of laughing, running, wrestling, games, and some video games. The sound of laughter coming from a kiddo is the best! Sandy and I were able list a couple of
