Building Up My New Shop

I'm busy building up my new shop with inventory. I have lots of new patterns, fabrics and styles to make. I'm anxious to get them done and into inventory but my mom is my first priority at this point. She is recouperating from radiation treatment and I'm here with her trying to get her back on her feet. It is a rough road for her but we are trusting in God that His plan includes her getting back to feeling more like herself. Getting Back in the Swing of Things

After a little break to entertain my husband's family over Thanksgiving, I'm back in my sewing room and pumping out new bags from new fabrics in new styles. I love it. I had just listed about 14 new bags when I told myself, "self, I'm going to make a bowl of popcorn and I'm going to watch an old movie on television this afternoon. Ramping it up for the holidays

In just a few days I will be winging my way back to California. I'm hitting the ground running because I have a custom order to finish in two days. After that I'm diving headlong into preparing my shop for a fabulous holiday season. It will be my first Christmas with Etsy but I have a positive attitude and I am not reaching for the moon. In Maine and Loving It!

I'm in Maine until November 4, Election Day, (don't worry, I voted by absentee ballot before I left) to care for my mom and I'm loving it. The weather is crisp and cool, as opposed to hot and windy in CA. I love being with my 88 year old mom as well. We spend hours talking and I know that I will cherish these times some day and I want to make the most of them while I can.
