Milestone wheat beer kit

Potting plants

For the last three years I've been trying to grow tomatoes, its probably the plant that every gardener tries to grow at some point. This 'easy' plant has been causing me a lot of problems; from blight to moulds and just not planting them out early enough.

A Guide For Tophatter Buyers
Tophatter is quickly becoming the new place to shop for unique handmade goods. Hundreds of items go up for auction every single day in an exciting and fast paced live auction setting. The nature of a live auction is fast and furious which can make it difficult to find the items that you want to buy. I have put together this buyers guide to help anyone find that is looking to…

A look inside a Little Wren Pottery box!
I've always wanted to add more flair to my parcels and over the last couple of years I've done quite a bit of experimentation! This time I've started using little stickers and including a care guide to most orders. A great source of inspiration for packaging items is Pinterest and The Dieline to see how the professionals do it.

Vegetable pastries

If you make one batch of dough you'll find it makes roughly 2-3 large pasties and 1-2 small parcels. You could if you wanted to make them all really tiny and eat them as warm snacks. I haven't added any herbs or flavours to the dough because of the curry filling but you could add basil or oregano for a herbed Italian taste!

Books that enlighten the mind!
I highly recommend "The Five Love Languages" written by Gary Chapman! This book and his similiar books for various age groups are very enlightening in the area of communication with others that you are in relationship with. The basic principal to his teachings is that we all have different ways that we communicate love to one another. Some of us show love by:
*spending quality time with another person
*speaking words of affirmation (like telling someone you love them)
*buying…

New glaze - copper penny

It's colours remind me of old copper coins I've occasionally dug up from the garden - on their way to oxidising as a thin layer of green forms on the surface. It's got a high glossy texture to it and I think it works best on statement pieces but I'll be glazing some mugs with it soon.
