Just wanted to remind everyone to scour the classified ads in your local papers. I just bought a great stash from a gal who no longer has time to craft jewelry. It was a windfall of Bali and Hill Tribe silver along with quite a bit of silver plated pewter. I know many of us shop online and often forget about local ads. I am really enjoying my new wallet design. I am getting ready to put together a new travel wallet in deep midnight blue suede with a irridescent green branch design applique. Together with my mom, I've opened up a second Etsy shop to offer our reuseable shopping bags and lunch sets. I know I am a bit behind this week but I wanted to share something pretty cool that happened to me last weekend after the show was over and I got to relax! I slept in on Sunday, (my favorite thing to do) the day after my show, and made coffee and grabbed my sketchbook. (I had to look for it since its been a while!) My sister bought an Amy Butler bag pattern and I offered to make it for her since she doesn't sew. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was since I usually have a hard time with other people's patterns. I prefer my own, of course. It was the birdie sling and I think it turned out pretty well.
