I sure have been busy the last few weeks. First, I was painting like crazy to fill a wholesale order and then next came the 60 wine glass order to fill!! Plus, I had regular orders to fill in between. Believe me when I say, I sure was glass when the last wine glass was finished on Thursday! With that completion I have been able to rest a little and enjoy a few days of Summer.
I love for you to get a chance to see what is new in my shop. I still need to post some of the items…

What a wonderful sight. So many beautiful items. I know where I will be doing all my gift shopping from now on. All these talented people is great. I wish I knew about Etsy a few years ago when I started Kith & Kin Studios with my sister- in-law. We started the buisness around 2004. She came up with the name. It means Friends and Family gathering. ( we do a lot of it )

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to remind everyone to scour the classified ads in your local papers. I just bought a great stash from a gal who no longer has time to craft jewelry. It was a windfall of Bali and Hill Tribe silver along with quite a bit of silver plated pewter. I know many of us shop online and often forget about local ads. Lucky for me my husband / business manager loves to read the ads and finds plenty of bargains for my hobby! This could be another way to shop local.…

I am really enjoying my new wallet design. I am getting ready to put together a new travel wallet in deep midnight blue suede with a irridescent green branch design applique. It seems that bigger is better in this case. These bigger wallets are getting more views and sales than the smaller ones. So I will just make sure to have a variety of sizes and styles in my shop. Variety is good! I tend to get set on one type of something or other and not work on other things so my new plan is to pick two…

It's a zillion degrees in NYC today. Literally. I'm not exaggerating at all. Honesty. Okay, I'm lying. But it does feel like a zillion degrees if you're out there for too long. I am going to try and remain inside in the AC as much as possible. Today will be all about making some flowers (currently the fray check is drying), and organzing. I have to purge tons of stuff in the guest room to make way for my new sewing table! Woo hoo. It's always so hard to let things go, but it'll be made that m…

Hi ya'll. I've listed a few things today on Etsy. I made some cards and some ACEO's and added those as well as some vintage items. I must say, though, that the cards are kind of different for me. I stepped out of my comfort zone in the color schemes and in the style on some of them. We'll see how they do. I realize that not every one likes the same kinds of things that I do!! Hee hee!! So, thought I'd better whip up something that wasn't just for me. Is that the true entrepeneur or is that th…

I come up with the color/fabric combos and designs and mom does all the sewing (the sewing machine scares me, lol).

My sister bought an Amy Butler bag pattern and I offered to make it for her since she doesn't sew. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was since I usually have a hard time with other people's patterns. I prefer my own, of course. It was the birdie sling and I think it turned out pretty well. I'd love to hear if anyone has tried her other patterns and if they are just as easy.
