Hi! I'm Maigan! I sell on both Etsy and Ebay. Though this spring i've hit a bit of a rut...you know...the change in seasons, end of winter, moody blues...yeah. Lol! But I'm about to jump out of it....I can feel it!
I love fantasy art. My main subjects are mermaids but i also dabble with fairies, witches, dragons, etc. I also collect art when I have the chance (extra money! lol). Mostly prints for now but I have a long list of artists I someday hope to obtain originals from!
my etsy profile is MUCH more interesting than this one....I always write the most boring profiles...or it could be I just get bored writing about myself! lol!
I LOVE glass....it's an addiction now! It's not a day in the studio if I don't get cut and funny thing is half the time I don't feel it...I just see the little bit of blood and get up for a bandage! LOL Your Divas are just the cutest! They have the coolest personalities...do you use friends or family as inspiration?
The scoop is that after his dad passed away 11 years ago from a heart attack, my dad discovered he also had heart problems...he was 35. And at 37 he had bypass surgery and they had put a shunt in one of his arteries to help keep it open. Well, he was in the hospital 2 weeks ago...they said that doing an angeogram (stick a tube up the artery in your groin area to see whats going on up in the heart) was too risky so they just sent him home....well my dad was back in there 2 weeks later (Saturday of Easter Weekend) with pressure in his chest this time. They also said that his enzymes were wonky which either meant that he now had damage to his heart or that a piece of plaque dislodged itself from an artery. Anyway, they ended up doing the angeogram anyway and discovered his shunt had collapsed (they're only good for 10 years anyway) and that he had one blocked artery and another had a calcium buildup. So they were able to open the shunt back up for now while they were in there and then said they wanted to try to fix the blockages with meds...I don't have much faith in that idea, considering he's currently having problems and I don't think the medication is going to take effect quickly enough to make a difference....I personally see another surgery being inevitable...but i'm not a dr. He's only 46 and I selfishly think he should be around to watch his future grandchildren grow. I used to think "please just be around to walk me down the aisle" but now it's on the next thing - "please be around to play with your grandchildren". My life would have had far less meaning had I not known my grandfather. And I don't want my future kids to feel like that...
Bah...lol...I've rambled enough...didn't mean to vent or blurb but it's been festering a little bit.
Anyway, thanks again for the good wishes towards my dad....at least they know what the problem is now and can work towards fixing it.
Thanks for the welcomes everyone! :) Good to be here! I suppose I should work on updating, however, my dads been in and out of the hospital the last couple weeks with heart problems so I'm not around as much as i'd normally be. But I will update soon! I promise! lol!
