It must be in the Jeans
My mom was a weaver and my dad a blacksmith. For as long as I can remember I have always loved to create. In the beginning it was crayons on any surface imaginable sorry mom =). Next it was wedding cakes and flowers, sewing and shadow boxes.
When I was on vacation with my family in Santa Fe New Mexico I discovered lampwork beads. We went to a street fair and I wandered into a mans both with lampwork beads I must have stayed for ever in that booth in awe and amazement. At that point it did not occur to me that I could make them myself. Several months later while watching the show Crafters Coast to Coast I saw Amy Trescott make a perfume bottle. The light bulb in my head turned on and I knew I had to try my hand at making beads.
In May of 2005 I went to my local glass shop Blue Moon and bought my first kit. From my first bead I was hooked. I have come a long way since my first beads. I am self taught and a member of Lampwork Etc and the Austin Firefly's.
