About Me:
I enjoy creating with textiles of all varieties and love the process of figuring out how to make things work. I knit, crochet, sew, quilt.
My particular passion is Bears and other Critters. I try to incorporate something Scottish in the ready made collection but love to create to customers preferences and ideas.

First Craft Fair

Well I took all the advice from the forums on various sites and guess what? forgot the bags. In the end didn't matter, didn't need them. As I discovered, the comments in the forums about Christas Craft fairs versus Christmas fairs were very true. This was a first attempt at a Christamas f

New addition to Knockie bears and critters

After much sole searching of the political correctness of this decision I decided the political correctness rules far too much of our lives.

These Golliwog ragdolls were a much loved toy of our youth. Like many stories and songs over the years the vast majority of children and adults were unaware of the underlying meaning that may or may not have been intended by the author. I grew up on Enid Blyton, Arthur Ransome etc and if anything have more liberal views than conservative. Funny ho…

Knockie Bears and Critters

Well, I have been working recently on expanding the Knockie Bear section of my shop. Hopefully some of the new ones will be unveilled on Etsy soon.

One you won't find on Etsy is Ally. For those of you who don't know we have a group of football ( soccer to the US members ) fans known as the Tartan Army. There are devisions of this army all over Scotland. They are friendly ambassadors for our Country and make friends the world over following the Scottish…

Hah, tell me about it. I was in Croy, near Inverness, where it was minus six most days. It was six degrees at home in Norfolk...aaargh!!! But you get used to it again remarkably quickly, and we had a great time!!!

Ooh, I didn't know about them - I'm new to this whole selling-at-fairs thing! I have got a small fair that's a charity do in Teviot (run by a student society) which I'm using as a tester - if all goes well I'll try some more next year.
Have been to a few fairs run by these folk: http://www.edinburghcraftfairs.co.uk which seem good - if you're up for doing fairs in Edinburgh maybe check them out :)
