About Me:

Hi everybody! I live in Southern Louisiana and have been creating art using anything and everything I can get my hands on, and I love a challenge. I sell everything I create at major craft shows here at Planations in the fall. I've done everything from jewelry to fairies to furniture! I use vintage hardware, architectural findings, vintage buttons, lace, fabric, crystals, vintage windows, vintage jewelry pieces, copper, you name it....and everything together becomes a treasure! I love, love, love altered art!

I am currently enjoying working with 'new' wood and cast iron creating VINTAGE INSPIRED SHABBY COTTAGE or FRENCH CHIC SIGNS. Everything is 100% handcrafted by me & my hubby right on my BACK PORCH! Thus the name of my shop...THE BACK PORCH SHOPPE! :) All are aged, chipped, crackled and distressed using proven techniques to result in a sign that brings you the beauty of a vanished world... CUSTOM or PERSONALIZED SIGNS are welcomed! Names, addresses, wording, or color choices are yours!

Spring Signs!

Hey everybody! Wow...it's been months since I've been here...I think I've been having a paint brush in my hand 24/7! I thought January would be slow, but noooo......which is good! Lost about 2 weeks of work when my kitty had one of her seizures and locked onto my thumb, which immediately swelled up to 3 times its size! OUCH!
