Paper Sculpture or Cellulose Sculpture, it just sounds so much better than paper mache!
Being an artist outside of Philadelphia has the great advantage of getting to know so many wonderful artists. They're everywhere. Philadelphia has a huge population of really great watercolor painters and so many museums, art centers, venues to show and share your art. Most of the people living in the area have no idea how lucky we are to have so much right here at home.

Fairies Fly About in the Day Mixed media necklace. I used vintage seam bindings, antique lace and tatting, old bells, buttons and beads. A slice of wood with a collaged picture and a tag made with many layers of papers,ephemera, then sealed and tipped with gold paint. I am so happy you are my friend, your post above on Etsy being your full time job is an encouragement. Today i am here, bum in chair, determined to make some sort of schedule for myself. I too have some other projects to support, 2 manuscripts pending send offs to childrens publishers...inhopes of being noticed cuz someone I know has put a word in for me...my illustrations for the manuscripts, plus being the sandwich generation: btwn my own family and my widowed mom...
