About Me:: My husband says I'm an ADD artists -- I'm never just working on one project. I create jewelry, floorcloths, small format acrylic paintings, mosaics and furniture. I need to "create" every day (says so in my horoscope!). I love when my daughter and my nieces work with me in the studio, they challenge me and are wonderful critics. I spent several years teaching an after school art program (thanks to MaryJill!!) and was a 4-H leader for an art group I started. Nothing is more rewarding than to share my talents and teach another generation of artists.

Beads...beads...beads!

I am a major beadaholic. And now I find myself overun with beads. Therefore, I've opened a new Etsy shop: www.beachbumbeads.etsy.com! Now, I can buy all the beads I want, use what I need, and offer the rest for sale...at good prices of course!

No More Website!

I finally gave up my website, it just wasn't worth the cost. However, I did keep my domain name which now points to my Etsy page...so no loss on all the promotional material I've handed out in the last 6-months. I'm proud to say, I'm a full time Etsy-ian now!!!

Other good things, I got picked up by a local spa to sell my jewelry! Think about it, spend a day pampering yourself, now top it off with a nice piece of jewelry...what woman isn't worth that!

Don't give up hope...Right?

Its been 9-months since I moved from Northern Michigan to Virginia Beach, and I was told things would be better here...its a larger city, after all! Well, I've decided I couldn't have picked a worse time to move. I guess when the economy takes such a negative turn, artwork is the first thing to get "cut" out of people's lives. Really, how do you justify buying a piece of jewelry, painting, etc. when you're struggling just to pay for gas for your vehicle. I'm sure I am not alone, so my message…

Website complete

I finally got my website back up and running. What a conflict now...do I post this item on Etsy or my website. I definitely like Etsy better!
