About Me:: Hi, Everyone! My name is Jan, and I'm happy to be a member of WeLoveEtsy.com.

In a nutshell, I am:: a country girl at heart (born and raised in Kansas), a lover of nature and animals, a wife, a retired nurse, and a person seeking to rekindle and further develop my creative side and artistic flair.

I joined Etsy in August 2006, and the name of my shop is Expressive Papers. I get the inspiration for my cards and paper piecings from many sources, including beautiful scrapbook papers, embellishments, songs, movies, quotes and sayings, my family, my friends, and my dog.

My husband and I are the proud owners of a beautiful adopted ex-racing greyhound, Harley.

I love the sense of creativity and satisfaction that I get from making cards, scrapbook layouts and paper piecing sets that other people enjoy. And I'm always striving to try out new techniques and materials and expand my style.
