- A % discount is exactly what I was thinking...I was hoping etsy had a discount tool, but as you know, there isn't one, so I was confused as to how to do it. Doing it through palpay is a great idea.

My mom is a graphic designer so she created my logo, business cards and will be creating a poster for our local starbucks. I have an account with twitter, but I'm always leary about taking about my designs, guess it's still a bit odd for me to talk about my work...i still see it as handmade rather than handcrafted. That will just have to be something i get over.
I'm going to start on my own website soon too and have all my sales redirected to etsy. Just have to get all my pieces up there first :D
Was shopping in a boutique the other week and gave them my pitch, going back with my pieces soon and we'll see if they want to pick any up for their stock. It's not really the type of store I want to be in, but I think it will be good practice to start there, make my mistakes and get into the places I really want to be in.
I think you might be right though, may be I should start to blog more and get friends/family to wear my pieces.
You really are great! I asked a similar question in the Handmade jewelry group and...nothing. No one responded. Thanks again and this is all still new...it's funny b/c my day job is in marketing...now i just need to take that know how and apply it here.

Question for you. I find I'm having a bit of trouble getting off the ground on etsy, do you have any thought suggestions on how I can better my showing and sales?
I have had a few showcases and a few more are coming up in a few weeks. I also have a goole ad directing people to me site. Not to mention adding my link to refferal sites when I can find them.

Showcase...to who?
had a showcase over the weekend that I would consider unsuccessful. It was a failure. I consider any showcase that does not result in sales a failure. I understand that showcases offer the chance to grow the amount of etsyers that "heart" me, build up my views, and the potential of a treasury inclusion. Twitter.com - take 2
After generous feedback from friends here, I went back to Twitter determined to make it work. And, it did! Twitter is a site that you have to be far more proactive than I initially was. In this new go 'round, I went to numerous pages and followed people who had anything I found interesting in their tweets. How can I drum up new business?
I initially posted this on the EAOC site. Then it dawned on me that this would be a great forum as well because of ALL the members this site has. Please help me out and take advantage of this!

Another etsyer sent out a message recently asking about Twitter.com. I was compelled to respond because I am disappointed in Twitter. Maybe I just dont know how to use it effectively. That's more than possible, lol.
