What a pleasant surprise to get a reply from you. Thanks for sharing the interesting family history. You are definitely a walking piece of "americana". Great to hear from you again. I haven't been very active on Etsy so this was a good reminder to tune back in. How has the new year been so far? Creative and stimulating, I hope. I am making lots of jewelry and tilling up lots of earth. The vegetable garden gets bigger every year. No complaints. When I lived in Texas I had a small garden because the weather extremes and militant bugs won so many crushing battles. It's mild here in Moss Landing, CA. I bet you have great growing conditions in Orgeon, too, and being a master gardner I can only imagine the size and variety of your garden. Cheers!

you're right! Patterns are totally over rated! :) Most of the time (at least with sewing) I just go ahead and figure it out as I sew. Sometimes it works and sometimes it's horrible! But you learn a lot that way!
Nicely done on the sweater - you should post a picture

so mommagoat, which reservation do you hail from? i have many friends in Zuni and a few in San Felipe. I travel to the reservations a couple of times a year to trade raw materials with the native carvers/jewelers/potters. I am a rockhound so I collect native materials from Cal, NM, AZ, NV and swap for finished goods. Haven't met a "Billygoat" yet but now I will keep a look out!

Aww... THANKS Gretchen!
Back at ya!

Yes, we missed you guys! It was a terrific show! It was lots of fun, we received lots of positive feedback, the sun was out all day, and I think everyone went home with money in their pocket! So the planets aligned and everything went really well!
I'll keep you (and everyone else) posted about the next one!

Hi River,

Nice work, and an even nicer person (and we didn't even do the fab Etsy at the beach)! SO glad it went well, and it sounded fun too, hats off to you for organizing such an event.
