I picked these today in the yard. They were a nice surprise since the drought last summer. They smell like spring!

I feel great today. I can see buds in the neighbors' Bradford Pear trees and our Maples are starting to show some buds. It is warming up and my mind has been getting ideas for the planters and flower beds around the pool. The goldfish were active so I fed them for the first time this year.

Now I need to get myself back into shape. I walked the dogs this morning and my thighs are sore now.

I am obsessed. I love bearded iris and have them in every color imaginable in my yard. I also have plates, paintings, needlework, mosaics, stained glass and now jewelry with iris. While searching through listings for a treasury, I spotted a lampworked bead that was an iris in catldy99's Etsy shop. I convo'd her and asked if she could make me one in blue. Not only did she say she could, she had it in the mail to me two days later. I am so loving this iris! Here it is:
