- Thanks Sharon! I went on a 2 week road trip through the US last summer. We ended up in Sturgis during the annual motorcycle rally....crazy times!....tons of colourful folks to photograph..like the woman in Party Girl Parasol

- Hi Sharon....and thanks so much for the comment:-) I actually lived and worked in a refugee camp in northern Thailand, which is where I met many of the Karen people I photographed, amongst many other hill tribe people who had fled Burma and who are now living in camps along the Thai-Burma border....such gracious people, and such a sad, sad situation for them. It felt really frustrating and powerless to be there...in the end, the best thing I could do was take pictures....over the last few years it's allowed me to talk to a lot of people about their situation, and I'm glad for that.
