Hey Y'all,
Queston: Is there an easy way to have a sale within etsy where I don't actually have to change my prices, but rather add I can enter a % that lowers my prices till I take it off?
If not, how does everyone else do a sale?
This group is for Etsy sellers interested in learning how to improve their business as well as contribute tips and tricks they've encountered on their Etsy journeys to help others!
Well you do have to determine what kind of sale you want to do. Typically no matter what the sale is, you can leave your pricing as is and just do paypal refunds. I usually do that on % discounts or specials, because it's too time consuming to change everything just to change it back.
I thought long and hard about the questions you asked me. It is my opinion that you should try everything and see what works for you.
I belong to a number of social or marketing sites.
I keep a handful of business cards all the time.
I give free products to my supportive friends and family. I use them as walking advertisements, and they don't mind because they get to have or borrow my pieces. Plus they understand that they're then obligated to carry a handful of business cards and name drop me whenever possible.
I blog and give people a true vunerable side of me. It has established some really great contacts and some loyalty.
I stay vocal and in front of the crowd. So I stay on peoples minds.
If you read my blog you'll see I've tried a lot of things. I believe in guess, check, and revise. You have to find your niche. Because some things may work, but take more from you than you have to give.
I guess my advice is dive in! Try as much as you can to get your name out there. There are so many free avenues if you just put the time in. Have fun with it. I have established some great 'net relationship with other crafters or entrepreneurs too.
Now, I haven't made a number of etsy sales, but I've done quite a few custom orders, gotten into some boutiques, and done excellent networking.
Again, just have fun with it! You have an amazing product. The sales will undoubtly come!
You are so sweet! I am doing a gazillion things, and it means a lot that you support my crazy! LOL You are a doll! Please make sure that I follow you where ever we both are. Guilty that I like attaching myself to you a bit. I need some of your elegance for my over the top, kinda street, lol!
