I was born in a era where mothers knew how to do many things without fancy machinery. Sewing, embroidery or even crochet a lovely doily. Many of us learned from them and some from books or classes but what ever the results, we still learned. Learning from my mother was always a labor of love.

New Year

I have started to post some more jewelry on Etsy, the picture taking takes time and of course patience . My daughter Elizabeth has been helping me take some that are not so boring. Anyone on Etsy that takes pictures of their product has to have talent for taking pictures because I have seen some really great ones. I'll get there one day, I promise...
Well I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful New Year, I am looking forward to a productive and creative one.

After Christmas

Well it is a few days after Christmas and I am set and ready to start making aprons with some new ideas and lots of new fabric. I can hardly wait. I haven't made too many bags, but am going to make more of those too. Have not made any time for my sketching which is something I really need to make time for. Gee I have so many things I want to do so I better get started. Happy Holidays to all and a wonderful New year in 2009!

Wicked

Went to Los Angeles this weekend to see Wicked with my sister Margaret. Her daughter Erna who lives in L.A. bought us both tickets. If you have not seen this wonderful play try to when it is in your area. Dinner and a play is my kind of relaxation. The weather was real nice and the freeway was not crazy. What a way to be spoiled. Now I am back and ready to create again.

Happy New Year

Yea.... I got my first sale for the new year. A sale always gives me more inspiration so I am now inspired to work on my next project. I can hardly wait to see what this year will bring, hopefully more fun, more friends and especially more sales.
