MyJunkyTrunk is all about self-esteem, confidence, a healthy body image, a positive attitude, and gratitude to God for His many blessings. It is my hope that you find humor and empowerment in my fun, funky, colorful images and the inspirational messages that accompany them. I am a “God taught” artist, and my art was birthed out of a desire to encourgage women to love their bodies and most importantly to share my faith in my own imaginative, light-hearted, nontraditional, and unconventional way.
As a teen I was often teased about my "junky trunk" and vowed to someday use my "junky trunk powers" for good and not for evil! LOL! My art has been my "revenge" and by the grace of God, I have turned my insecurity into inspiration!
Be sure to check out my gorgeous, whimsical "MyJunkyTrunk Girlz", which are my tribute to curvy women everywhere.
Generally, African-American women have been known for having insanely "junky trunks". However, I could care less if you were born with it, you paid a surgeon for it, or you take it off every night, wash it in Woolite, and hang it on a clothesline to dry! MyJunkyTrunk is for women of all colors, shapes, and sizes. All are welcome here! The most important thing is that you smile, get inspired, get uplifted, and enjoy!
