- Hello! I am a Sterling Silver jewelry artist. I combine Silver with semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, and freshwater pearls to create one-of-a-kind wearable art.
I began designing jewelry about 4 years ago, after my two other creative loves (graphic design and photography) became so computer-centric that I no longer had the satisfaction of working with my hands. While I am fluent in the software for both graphics and photography, and still do both on a daily basis, I miss working in the darkroom and creating mock-ups and camera-ready art.
So, to fulfill my need to combine my artistic expression with hand-work, I looked to my life-long love affair with jewelry, and found a perfect match. I am fascinated by color, pattern, and form, and find great fulfillment in combining just the right stones and colors to create a stunning piece of jewelry. I set my own stones, and do all my own fabrication, forging, and wirework.
I'm new to online communities, but am quickly learning the ropes with the help of my new friends. Thanks!
I am stunned at all the wonderful work folks are doing on Etsy, and am excited to now be a part of the action!

Trying to get back in gear for a new year!
My first show for 2008 is this weekend (Feb. 2) at the McLean Community Center, in McLean, VA. It's on Saturday from 11:00-5:00pm, and this is going to be a very different show for me. This is an ALL JEWELRY event......there might be some accessories as well, but my understanding is that this is first and foremost a Jewelry show.

Reston Market a Success!
Hi Everyone!
The Reston Market was a mixed bag, but overall I give it a "thumbs up."
I arrived at 7:30a.m., and many vendors were already well into the setup stage [NOTE TO SELF: let's try 6:30a.m. next time!]. Since I was new, and got there "late" by their standards, I was put into a space that was not on the "main" row, and backed immediately up to Lake Anne. Aesthetically speaking, this was a wonderful spot....however, it was not in the "thick" of things, and I think I suffer

New Show in Reston, VA this Weekend, August 18, 2007
I'm getting ready for a new show this weekend, the Reston Market, at Lake Anne in Reston, VA. This is one I haven't done so far, but other vendors I know have recommended it. It's an "every Saturday" show, and it will go on until the end of November. I won't be doing it every Saturday, but will use it to fill in my schedule when I don't have other, larger, shows to do.
Spending lots of time pricing new items, and thinking about new ways to lay out my booth that will make it more "entic
