About Me:: Hey y'all! I'm Cherie, my husband Scott and I live in southern Cochise co., Arizona. We are both mostly self-taught jewelry artists. I've wanted to do what I'm doing now in my life since early childhood...I used to bug my mom mercilessly to leave me behind with my jewelry-making stuff at our family's cabin in the Pigeon River Forest in northern Michigan when we were vacationing there..."I'll be fine, I know how to chop wood and build a fire, I'll forage for food!" says 10 year-old me.... Besides our passion for jewelry creativity, we are building our off-grid home in the high desert about 15 miles north of Mexico. I'd say our jewelry is solar-powered, except that a generator does play a part in it's production, at least as far as running my kiln for doing lampwork glass and for some of Scott's bigger equipment.. buffers, grinders, stone saws, etc...I'm enjoying the process of developing our shop in Etsy, getting the hang of things..this is our first online experience, I'm more used to doing shows (which I've done for 30 years or so), and selling out of physical stores and galleries. The online, virtual shop is new, interesting, frustrating, fascinating, addictive and, hopefully, lucrative! Glad to have discovered 'WeLoveEtsy' as well! Peace, Cherie.....
