Love your photos! I am a fan or sunflowers and tried taking photos of some in my garden with bees on the heads, but they came out yucky. Yours are crisp and clear.

Oh, thank you so much! I never know which creative path I'm about to take. Lately, anything that has to do with sewing is a favorite, but my true love will always be painting...sounds kinda like a romance novel :)

“Life is my college. May I graduate well and earn some honors!” Louisa May Alcott

With spring lying in wait around the corner, many high school seniors eagerly await their graduation day; it won’t be long until those graduation announcements begin to arrive. This year I have three immediate family members, including my #2 son, and a handful of friend’s teens graduating. I shall soon be receiving a varied assortment of cards honoring graduates and their achievements.

Several years ago, when #1 son graduated from high school, I designed his announcement due to necessity; he wa… Continue

The Glass is Half Empty

I’m not a negative person, but I do tend to view the glass as half empty. My first reaction to most things is a “REBUFF”; A friend calls to say they are dropping by and my initial thought is “Oh man, this is the worst time possible because... ______ (fill in the blank). There is a half hearted joke in our family that my first initial answer to any inquiry will be a resounding “NO!”

Okay, so admitting your problem is the first step in recovery, right? This past Sunday, I heard a sermon entitled,… Continue

Amazing Grace - Unmerited Favor

A couple of weeks ago, the men in my family went on their annual week long hunting trip. The 7 days they are gone, are considered “my time” and one of the things I enjoy doing during my time is watching chick flicks.

During that blissful week, one of the movies I watched was, “Amazing Grace,” the inspiring story of William Willberforce and his quest to end the British slave trade

Willberforce was a devout Christian and also one of the youngest members of Parliament. He passionately loved both… Continue

New is Exciting,...but Old is Comfortable - A Journey to opening a New SHop

“Ring in the New”; we hear it everywhere during this time of year and I understand the excitement that “newness” brings, but with the new comes the unknown and that can be uncomfortable.

Like a worn out pair of shoes, old is familiar even comfortable, no matter how bad they are for your feet. A new pair of shoes takes “breaking in.” In the beginning they just don’t fit or feel right, but given time they’ll be a familiar comfy shoe.

In last weeks post, I mentioned that I would opening several n… Continue

From the Desk of CreationsAnew

One of the things I enjoy about receiving Christmas Cards is the anticipated Christmas letter they somtimes contain. I like reading the short blurbs of events that happened throughout the year; there is usually just enough information to keep it interesting but not too intrusive. So, I thought I would wrap up this year with a quick and not too invasive Christmas/New Year Letter.

Please stop by "Photographer's Expose" to view my "letter… Continue
