Kelly: You can age the brass by sticking it in a plastic bag with a folded thirsty paper towel that has been dampened with ammonia. Don't have it touch the brass. The brass will darken before your eyes. Let me know your results. Barbara
This is so beautiful. You are very creative! Thanks for adding me as a friend because otherwise I might have missed your great work. I am quite a collection of beach glass. Would you like some? I'll be happy to send some off if you pay postage.
Hi y'all, My name is Barbara Lewis and I live in two beautiful states, Maryland and Florida. No, I'm not confused -- just blessed! I earned a degree in ceramics at the ripe old age of 45. It was a race against time to see if I would go through menopause before I completed by degree! I am grateful that I found my "bliss(es)" -- working in clay, making pottery, pendants, and creating jewelry.
Nice work Barbara. Loved your blog as well, the pics of you and frenz beading was a nice personal touch. Do you have followers. I'd love to follow your pages. And your etsy was nice too. I have a shop called stone and bone, and I'm always looking for new beads or pieces to incorporate. xoxox PK
