My name is Carolyn Gallo. I’m a Michigan native and I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child I was strongly encouraged by my mother, as well as countless teachers and friends, to pursue an artistic career. After listening to (and sadly believing) several dream-stomping college professors, I nearly gave up on my dreams and served 25 brain-sucking years in retail, until a supportive husband, the internet, and several life-changes gave me the courage to pick up the Sharpie and Paintbrush once again.
I am a product of the 80’s. You will see the influence in the fun and funky style and colors I use. I believe that experiencing life with a sense of humor is essential. This will never be more true than when you read about my pathetic attempts to learn to work digitally and with the web.
I sell on Etsy, CafePress, and Zazzle. see my blog for these links!
My favorite subjects are women, including what some refer to as “ethnic” or “women of color”. I believe that all women are beautiful, and I especially admire those women who exude confidence, humor, style, grace and bravado.
I hope you visit my shops, stop by the blog, leave a thought or comment. I’d certainly love to hear from you!
