About Me:

My name is Beth, I am a fabric addict and I love to make crafts and I have Cerebral Palsy... it makes what I do a challenge, but I like challenges. Since early childhood, I've been interested in arts and crafts. Once upon a time, I taught arts and crafts to preschoolers.

In 2001 I volunteered with an organization that assisted homeless families with children. The majority of these children didn't have a snugly toy to play with, so I started making them by hand. From there I added diaper bags, purses, doll quilts, decorative pillows and tote bags to my repertoire. In 2006 and 2007 I made bags for my mom and my sister as Christmas gifts, they loved them so much; they suggested that I concentrate on the bags more than anything else. So I did.

How I got to be Berry Blue Creations:
When I really got serious about crafting and hopefully making some extra money with it, I tried different names: my own name, which though a good name, just wasn't original enough for what I make. So I tried "Purple Monkey Creations" in honor of the first stuffed animal I ever made. Then I found out somebody else was using that one. I searched every search engine for a long time, trying different names... until I had the "AHA" moment... Berry Blue was used in product names, but NOT as A company or Studio Name... so I picked it up. And the rest is history.
