We Love Etsy

A social network for people who love Etsy.com

I keep seeing all these great opportunities for folks to get their product 'out there' through collaborative efforts with others. Samples of jewelry, soaps, lotion, art cards- they all seem to fit well in that sort of situation, but I wonder what folks, like myself, who create rather fragile items can do along the same lines? My work isn't really conducive to samples- if that makes sense.

Any ideas? Anyone wanna team up and try something?

I've gotten a lot of coupons from other shops, but never actually done them myself. You might want to put a expiration date on them (give the person plenty of time to get them out in their packages, plus the seller time to check out your shop). Also some kind of code on them is good too, it makes it look less reproducible and you could use that code to track how they got the coupon.

I have the same problem, it's not like I can attach a fork to a business card and people be excited about checking out my shop. I ended up playing off the 'recycled' nature of my shop. If you'd like to see my promos, you can check the sold items in DinnerTimeChimes to see some that I sold as a result of a alchemy bid.
Not sure how much time/money would be involved (or whether it's even possible), but here's my idea for you...
Make tiny hearts, spheres, diamonds (something that wouldn't need painted details) out of the clay and either attach to a paper clip that could be slide onto your buiness card (bookmark) or poke a hole through it string one onto your business card (ornament).
You've got a business that I'd definitely say spening the money for buiness cards with a photo of your work with me worth it!
Hope this helps you think of something :)

Thanks for the suggestions Erin. I'm going to see what I can come up with to attach as you've suggested. :)
