I am considering getting a Showcase spot, but would like to find out from others if they have found it worth the money.
Then there is the problem of where to place your Showcase, I sell baby and childrens' gear, so would it be better to try the gift guide area, the categories area or the main Showcase.
What are your thoughts?

I tried two gift show cases over the holidays. My shop was so new, I don't know whether it drove more traffic to my site or not. I had my blog mentioned no a major blog and a couple of my bracelets made treasuries during December, so it was hard to tell what was bringing in the traffic.

One of my bracelets is in a treasure now and it's bringing in some traffic.

I'm going to try the Storque showcase on the 21st just to see if it generates traffic. When you promote all over the place, it's hard to tell where the traffic is coming from.

Maybe there is an analytics program for etsy stores. Without access to the html, I don't know how to figure out what's working. The increase in traffic doesn't necessarily mean more sales.

I showcased a purse in the purse category. No sales Lots of views and hearts. Some of those hearts resulted in sales, just not on the day of the showcase. Yes, I keep track of who keeps me in their favorites.

I am going to try again with a Storque showcase on a Friday and two weekend spots in the Valentine's showcase. We'll see what happens.

It takes the right view to make a sale and showcases do increase those views. You have to decide if the fees are worth it to you. You do get added exposure, but it may or may not result in a sale. To me they are just another form of advertising, but I'm a glass half full kind of guy.

I've never had a showcase myself, but I have chatted with a few folks who have, and the reaction was less than thrilling. Just last night, someone was saying that they received a lot of views as a result, but no sales. Honestly, I wouldn't spend the money on it. For the $15.00 you would spend, you can list/relist 75 items.

Hope this helps!

Right before the Holidays hubbub, I did a showcase for bags. I managed to sell one item. I was so pleased I did a showcase and gift guide the following week. I got nothing. Traffic was a bit more...but not really exciting. I feel like it all depends on the day, time you pick etc. Luck of the draw. Is it worth it? I'm still trying to figure that out.

I've purchased two showcases (Crochet & Storque) and neither resulted in a sale. I did get some views and hearts, but that was it.

We have purchased crochet and childrens showcases. We got a few views but no sales from it. We have purchased a main showcase for Feb 1st. so we will see how that goes. Good luck to all.

Hello all!
Well our main showcase gave us a lot of views but sad to say no sales. Maybe the buyers are thinking about buying. :)

I've done several and have decided I'd rather spend the $7 (or whatever depending on which you choose), relisting items, to get the back in circulation. I have had way more luck that way. :)

Ah hah, from what you are saying I am best to keep doing what I am doing, which is to add something every day or so and particiapte in forums.
In that case, how do you guys get your pictures picked up by google and yahoo?
